Coca-Cola Posts Atlanta Syrup-Plant Maintenance and Quality Jobs Paying $72,531 to $113,100

Wages

The Coca-Cola Company has posted two maintenance technician jobs and a quality facilitator job for its Atlanta manufacturing operation, with base pay ranges of $72,531 to $88,649 for the maintenance roles and $83,600 to $113,100 for the quality role. The company’s careers site dated the maintenance postings Tuesday, Nov. 3, and the quality posting Monday, Nov. 2, when they were checked at about 13:20 UTC on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

The listings are openings Coca-Cola is advertising, not people hired. Each is a single requisition, and all three are scheduled to stop taking applications on Nov. 9, according to the “Job Posting End Date” on each page.

Two maintenance technician openings

The first-shift Maintenance Technician posting (R-143846) places the job in Coca-Cola’s North American Supply Chain Operations syrup branch, where it says work is “performed mostly on production floor and occasionally in maintenance shop.” The technician troubleshoots production lines, diagnoses machinery failures, performs repairs, adjustments, overhauls and preventive maintenance, rebuilds and fabricates equipment, does electrical wiring repairs and welds stainless steel tubing and rods as well as black iron. Equipment listed includes forklifts, drills, a lathe, electrical meters, grinders, welders and a band saw.

That posting asks for three to five years of experience, vocational or technical training or equivalent work experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. It describes fixed shifts in a multi-shift operation, with exposure to moderate noise, confined spaces, heights, fumes, electrical current, hazardous chemicals and extreme heat and cold.

The third-shift Maintenance Technician II posting (R-143833) covers similar plant work: installing, repairing and servicing machinery, minor electrical repairs, preventive maintenance and filling in on any line. It lists three or more years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience, working knowledge of programmable logic controls (PLCs), the ability to read diagrams, blueprints and schematics, and use of test equipment such as a multimeter. An associate or technical degree and welding experience are preferred, not required. Applicants must supply their own hand tools and pass what the posting calls the Coca-Cola Ramsay assessment, plus a thorough background screening. Physical requirements include handling up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling 80 pounds and standing or walking for up to 12 hours a day in temperature extremes, with extended hours, weekends and holidays as required.

Both maintenance postings show the same base pay range, $72,531 to $88,649, and say pay offered may vary with geography, knowledge, skills and experience. The first-shift posting lists an annual incentive reference value of 0%.

Quality facilitator

The Quality Facilitator posting (R-148493) is responsible for identifying and resolving production, equipment, facility and process quality issues, leading good manufacturing practice (GMP) and internal management-system audits, and handling corrective-action and root-cause work. The posting cites food-safety frameworks including FSMA preventive controls, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000 and 9001. It prefers an associate or bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, engineering or a related field, and three to five years in food manufacturing quality, food safety or regulatory compliance. Power BI, SAP and Excel skills are listed, and HACCP or PCQI certification and Green Belt problem-solving training are preferred. The base range is $83,600 to $113,100 with a 7.5% annual incentive reference value. The posting notes up to 25% travel and a pre-employment background investigation that may include a drug screen.

Other Atlanta postings

Coca-Cola also posted a Coordinator, Investor Relations job (R-148164) in Atlanta on Nov. 2, paying $86,600 to $103,000, which requires a bachelor’s degree and five or more years of experience in cross-functional coordination and event planning. That posting’s end date is Nov. 4. Earlier, on Oct. 23, the company posted a part-time Guest Experience Associate job (R-143664) at the World of Coca-Cola attraction downtown, starting at $15 an hour for an average of 28 hours a week, with shifts between 8:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. and occasionally as late as midnight for corporate events. It asks for a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in attractions, hospitality or customer service, and it closes Nov. 6.

All of the postings say Coca-Cola will not sponsor work visas for the role, and none offers relocation. Applications are taken through the company’s Workday careers site. The postings do not give the plant’s street address.
