Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta will hold a virtual interview event for experienced registered nurses on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time. Candidates can interview directly with a Kennestone hiring leader for RN jobs in five areas: ICU, acute care, extended recovery, mother/baby and pediatrics.
The event appears on Wellstar’s own careers site, both as an event listing and as a companion job posting, requisition JR-80868. The posting is dated Tuesday, Oct. 27, and is listed as full time with a work shift of “Various.” The event listing was last updated Friday, Oct. 30. Both pages were checked at about 13:30 UTC on Monday, Nov. 2.
An interview event is recruiting activity, not a guarantee of hiring. Wellstar does not say how many nurses it plans to hire at Kennestone or how many openings each unit has.
The bonus, as Wellstar words it
The listing does not promise $10,000 to every nurse who signs up. Its exact wording is that “eligible candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000.” It also says relocation assistance is “available for eligible candidates.” Neither page sets out who is eligible, how the bonus is paid out, or whether a nurse must commit to a minimum length of employment. Anyone weighing an offer should get those terms in writing before accepting.
The offer is smaller than one Wellstar advertised earlier this year. A Wellstar landing page for a Feb. 26, 2026, Kennestone virtual hiring event for acute care RNs and respiratory therapists listed a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 and relocation assistance of up to $7,500.
Who can apply
The job posting lists four basic RN qualifications. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program, and a BSN is preferred. They must hold an active Georgia RN license or an Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) multistate license. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire. Previous registered nurse experience is also required.
The posting adds that “additional experience, certification, and specialty-specific requirements may apply.” In practice, an ICU or pediatrics role may carry requirements beyond that basic list. The posting does not list pay rates for any of the five specialties, and it does not say how much prior experience counts as “experienced.”
How to register
Both Wellstar pages link to an Indeed interview sign-up page, which Wellstar labels its “Wellstar Kennestone RSVP Link.” Nurses reserve an interview there. The job posting also invites candidates to apply through the requisition.
Kennestone is a large hospital. In the event listing, Wellstar describes it as a 633-bed Level I Trauma Center and says it is Magnet-designated. The hospital is in Marietta, in Cobb County, one of the counties of metro Atlanta.
An in-person option on Nov. 18
Nurses who cannot make the virtual event have a second chance. The Nov. 12 listing points them to an in-person Experienced RN Open House at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, Nov. 18. That open house runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wellstar says attendees can meet nursing leadership and talent acquisition staff, tour units, and ask about openings.
Wellstar asks people to register and pick a time slot for the open house, and it says it will send arrival details, parking information and directions closer to the date. It also says walk-ins are welcome at any time during the event, whether or not they registered. The open house listing does not repeat the bonus offer or name specific units.
Who this is not for
The event is aimed only at experienced RNs. New graduates do not meet the basic qualifications in the posting, and neither do nurses who hold neither a Georgia RN license nor a multistate compact license.
