Truist Posts New Atlanta Openings in Capital Markets, Fraud, Lending and Mainframe Engineering

Hiring

Truist Financial has posted a run of new Atlanta openings over the past week, from back-office capital markets and brokerage support jobs to fraud investigation, corporate lending and mainframe software engineering. Twenty-one postings that list Atlanta as a work location were dated between Friday, Oct. 30, and Tuesday, Nov. 3, when the bank’s Workday careers site was checked at 15:03 UTC on Nov. 3.

At that check, the site showed 219 open postings with at least one Atlanta location, including the Truist Plaza tower at 303 Peachtree Street and the Garden Offices at 303 Peachtree Center Avenue. Many of those postings let candidates choose between Atlanta and Charlotte or other cities. A posting is an opening Truist is advertising, not a hire, and none of the Atlanta postings reviewed lists a pay range for Georgia.

Operations and brokerage support

The Capital Markets Operations Specialist II posting (R0121095), dated Wednesday, Oct. 28, is Atlanta-only, first shift and regular full time. The job processes transactions for derivative, securities or loan trading or agency services, covering client onboarding, trade capture, securities settlement and clearance, confirmations and margin or collateral processing. It requires a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and training, or three to five years of related experience, along with Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, which applicants may have to demonstrate. Prior bank or brokerage operations experience and a FINRA Series 99 or Series 7 license are preferred, not required.

Posted the same day, a Brokerage Registered Client Service Associate role (R0121239) is an in-office job, Monday through Friday, at 3630 Peachtree Road NE. The associate supports financial advisors by placing client orders, processing corporate actions, managing calendars and handling account paperwork. It requires the FINRA SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, but the posting says partially registered candidates will be considered and can earn the remaining licenses within 365 days of hire.

A Fraud Senior Specialist I posting (R0120993), dated Thursday, Oct. 29, investigates and decides fraud cases and alerts. It asks for an associate degree or equivalent, three to five years of banking or related experience, and a willingness to work flexible hours.

Lending, engineering and leadership roles

On Oct. 30, Truist posted a Wholesale Credit Delivery Corporate and Leverage Finance Associate role in Atlanta (R0120899). The associate underwrites credit for investment-grade and sponsor-owned borrowers and builds financial models, including discounted cash flow and leveraged buyout analysis. It requires an undergraduate degree, six years of underwriting and portfolio management experience, and Series 79, Series 63 and SIE licenses.

Two Mainframe Software Engineer postings (R0121392 and R0121388) went up the same day for Atlanta or Charlotte. They require a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or equivalent training. Preferred skills include COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM on IBM z/OS.

On Monday, Nov. 2, the bank added a Small Business Direct Advisor role in Atlanta or Plano, Texas (R0121454). The advisor works in the office but serves small-business clients by phone. It asks for five-plus years of sales or relationship management with small-business or business-banking clients. Also posted Nov. 2 were a Head of New Account Fraud Strategies, based in Atlanta or Charlotte, and a senior vice president-level Software Engineering Senior Manager at the Garden Offices who would oversee more than 60 people supporting treasury payment platforms.

AI and data roles with an Atlanta option

Truist also has AI governance openings that list Atlanta as an alternative to Charlotte, posted Oct. 26 and 27. A Senior AI & Data Consultant for AI Product Safety (R0120927) assesses risks and controls for AI-enabled products and requires a bachelor’s degree and at least seven years in AI and data. That posting carries the only salary disclosure among those reviewed: $120,000 to $150,000, stated for Virginia work locations only. A Senior Associate AI & Data Consultant role in program governance asks for three years of experience.

Truist says regular employees working 20 or more hours a week are eligible for benefits. Those include at least 10 vacation days and 10 sick days in the first year, prorated, along with a 401(k) plan. Applications go through Truist’s Workday portal, and listings can close at any time; a Senior Change Delivery Lead posting (R0121200) no longer appeared on the site on Nov. 3.
