Genuine Parts Posts NAPA Driver, Counter and Forklift Jobs Around Metro Atlanta Plus Headquarters Roles, Nov. 2–5

Employers

Genuine Parts Company, whose Workday careers site recruits for NAPA Auto Parts and Motion Industries, posted 14 jobs at metro Atlanta locations between Monday, Nov. 2 and Thursday, Nov. 5. They split between hands-on work in the field, including NAPA delivery driving, parts-counter jobs and forklift work at a NAPA freight terminal in Bartow County, and office roles in Atlanta. None of the postings lists pay.

The count comes from GPC’s Workday site, searched for Georgia and for Atlanta, at about 02:40 UTC on Friday, Nov. 6 (late Thursday, Nov. 5, in Atlanta). The Georgia search returned 151 open postings and the Atlanta search 107, many of them older. Fourteen dated Nov. 2 through Nov. 5 listed a metro Atlanta city as the primary location: Atlanta, Chamblee, Tucker, Senoia and White. Three more technology postings dated in that window list Birmingham, Ala., first with Atlanta as an additional location. These are openings, not hires.

Drivers and parts counters

Two NAPA store delivery driver postings went up Nov. 2, one part-time in Atlanta and one full-time in Chamblee. Drivers deliver auto parts to NAPA customers across the metro area, pick up parts from vendors, check tire pressure and keep the trucks clean, and help with stocking and shipments in the store. Both postings require a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, reach up to 8 feet and stand or walk for long periods. They also ask for experience handling cash and processing returns and a willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays. NAPA pitches the job to students and retirees, among others.

On Nov. 5, a full-time counter service posting in Tucker sought a NAPA parts specialist to source parts for fleet customers’ specialized equipment. It requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED, plus parts-store or automotive experience “or at least a willingness to learn.” It also asks for the ability to work on or around an airport environment. Experience with airport ground support equipment and ASE certifications are listed as pluses. The posting lists medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) with match, tuition reimbursement and a NAPA discount.

A counter sales posting in Senoia, also dated Nov. 5, is for a Traction heavy-duty parts store. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license and be available on weekends; heavy-duty parts knowledge is preferred.

Freight terminal jobs in White

Three Nov. 5 postings are with the NAPA Auto Parts private fleet in White, in Bartow County. A forklift operator job requires at least one year of recent forklift experience and a forklift certification, and involves loading and unloading trailers at a cross-dock terminal and lifting 60 pounds or more. A hostler forklift operator moves trailers around the yard with a yard spotter and works the dock in between. A transportation coordinator plans shipments and works with carriers. That job asks for a high school diploma or equivalent, transportation or logistics experience, and one year of forklift or two years of hostler experience. Experience with McLeod software is preferred.

Headquarters roles and a summer internship

The Atlanta office postings include a senior manager of supply chain analytics (Nov. 3), who would build Power BI and Google BigQuery reporting for NAPA’s distribution centers and needs seven or more years of experience driving strategy through data. Also posted: a retail impact-store project manager for NAPA store remodels and new builds, with travel of up to 75% (Nov. 5); a senior manager of sales technology and a sales program marketing manager (Nov. 5), the latter required to live in the Atlanta market and work in the office at least three days a week; a senior retail space planning analyst (Nov. 5); and a corporate and sales recruiter for Motion Industries (Nov. 4), who needs two to three years of sourcing experience and a bachelor’s degree.

An assortment planning internship for summer 2027, posted Nov. 3, is a 10-week, in-person program in Atlanta starting May 24, 2027, with 40-hour weeks, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The posting gives two end dates, July 30 and July 20. The intern would build Power BI dashboards and a scoring framework to rank NAPA products by sales velocity, inventory investment and margin return. The posting asked students to apply by Oct. 29, 2026 for priority consideration, a date already past when the listing carried its Nov. 3 posting date.
