Capgemini Posts Five Senior AI Roles in Atlanta Since Nov. 2, With Base Pay From $103,330 to $272,584

AI & Work

Capgemini has added five senior artificial-intelligence and data-science openings in Atlanta to its careers site since Monday, Nov. 2, each listing a base pay range under the company’s pay-transparency disclosures. Together with a Google Gemini engineering role it posted in October, the requisitions show the IT services firm recruiting experienced builders of AI agents, large language model platforms and retrieval systems in the metro area.

The listings were reviewed on careers.capgemini.com on Wednesday, Nov. 4, between about 13:20 and 13:25 UTC. They are open requisitions, not hires, and Capgemini does not say how many people it intends to hire for any of them.

The newest postings

The Agentic AI Architect role, reference 579000, was posted Nov. 2 with a base range of $125,000 to $140,000 a year. The architect would define end-to-end designs for multi-agent systems and orchestration layers, build agent frameworks with tools such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen and CrewAI, and architect retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, memory systems and integrations with enterprise CRM and ERP systems. Requirements include 10 or more years in software engineering, AI/ML or solution architecture, strong Python, hands-on experience with LLM ecosystems and agent frameworks, vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone or Azure AI Search, and familiarity with OAuth, single sign-on and data governance. Azure is preferred, with AWS or Google Cloud acceptable. Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), LLMOps and certifications are listed as nice to have.

Two AI Platform Engineer requisitions went up the same day with identical descriptions but different ranges: reference 585389 lists $129,000 to $143,000, and reference 585390 lists $110,000 to $139,992. Engineers would own platform components such as a model gateway, agent runtime, evaluation harness or guardrail engine, plus pipelines that turn production traces into fine-tuning and reinforcement-learning datasets. Capgemini asks for Python plus a systems language such as Go or Rust, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, experience with model serving and agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, evaluation engineering with golden datasets and regression gates, and post-training experience. The postings also require daily, hands-on use of AI coding assistants and call financial-services engineering the ideal background. They say the company cares more about depth in four or five of the listed areas than surface familiarity with all of them.

On Nov. 3, Capgemini posted a Principal AI Engineer role, reference 585386, at $191,583 to $272,584. The job would lead strategy and delivery for a shared AI platform, covering model serving, agent runtime, metering, observability and governance, and build and lead platform engineering teams. It requires 15 or more years of software, platform or infrastructure leadership and experience in regulated industries, preferably financial services or insurance.

A Senior Data Scientist Engineer requisition, reference 590219, also posted Nov. 3, lists $103,330 to $128,656 and describes the job as “Day One Onsite – Hybrid” in Atlanta. It calls for nine or more years of hands-on AI and machine-learning development, experience implementing LLMs with vector databases and RAG, MLflow or similar lifecycle tools, and TensorFlow or PyTorch.

An earlier Gemini role

Capgemini’s Gemini AI Forward Deployed Engineer requisition, reference 559002, is older: it was posted Oct. 20. It offers hybrid work from Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas or New York, with a base range of $88,544 to $207,401 for the posted location. The listing stresses that it is a hands-on engineering job, not primarily an advisory or architecture role, building agents on Gemini models and Vertex AI with Google’s Agent Development Kit, Python, Docker, Terraform and CI/CD.

What applicants should know

All of the roles are classed as permanent and for experienced professionals; none is entry-level. Each posting says actual pay can fall outside the range, that it is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of it, and that some roles may carry bonuses or other variable pay. Listed benefits for regular full-time U.S. staff include 12 to 25 vacation days depending on grade, medical, dental and vision coverage, and a 401(k). The postings also warn that Capgemini may capture an applicant’s image during interviews for identity verification.

One caveat: the AI Platform Engineer postings refer to models tuned for an unnamed “NewCo” and do not identify the client or business unit the platform serves, so applicants should ask recruiters where the work will sit.
