The Fresh Market Posts 16 Metro Atlanta Store Jobs Nov. 2-3, From Deli Leads to AI Shelf-Camera Specialist

Hiring

The Fresh Market, the specialty grocery chain, posted 16 store openings at seven metro Atlanta locations on Monday, Nov. 2, and Tuesday, Nov. 3, according to the company’s own careers site. The new requisitions range from part-time deli and grocery work to full-time department-lead roles, plus newer jobs built around online orders and electronic shelf technology. None of the postings shows a pay rate.

A snapshot of the chain’s Georgia job search taken at about 13:20 UTC on Wednesday, Nov. 4, listed 59 open Georgia postings in all, 32 of them dated Nov. 2 or Nov. 3. Half of those recent postings are in the metro area; the rest are at stores in Athens, Augusta, Columbus, Macon and Savannah. The postings are recruiting activity, not a count of hires.

Where the new metro postings are

In Atlanta, the store at 2099 Peachtree Road NE posted a full-time Guest Service Specialist and a part-time Deli Specialist on Nov. 3. The store at 4405 Roswell Road posted three full-time roles on Nov. 2: Deli CMS Lead, Produce & Floral Specialist and Deli Specialist.

Peachtree City’s store at 100 North Peachtree Parkway had the most new listings, with four: a Bakery Lead posted Nov. 3, and a Center Store Lead, part-time Deli Specialist and Digital Fulfillment Specialist posted Nov. 2. The Suwanee store at 1500 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. posted a part-time Grocery Team Member on Nov. 3 and a part-time Deli Specialist on Nov. 2.

Three other north-metro stores also added openings on Nov. 2. Roswell (1125 Woodstock Road, Suite 400) posted a Deli CMS Lead and a Seafood Specialist. Alpharetta (3005 Old Alabama Road) posted a Deli CMS Lead and an In Stock Specialist. Dunwoody (5511 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road) posted a Digital Fulfillment Specialist. Full-time or part-time status comes from each posting’s job data.

What the jobs involve

The entry-level Grocery Team Member posting in Suwanee asks only for “a passion for providing extraordinary service” and a minimum age of 16. The job can rotate across the deli, meat and seafood, bakery, grocery, produce and floral departments and the front end, and includes stocking, helping customers and gathering carts from the parking lot.

The part-time Deli Specialist posting on Peachtree Road requires workers to be at least 18. The physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for up to four hours without a break, handling knives and pallet jacks, and wearing a hair net or beard guard. That posting contradicts itself on experience: one section asks for at least two years in retail, grocery, restaurant or hospitality work, and another asks for one.

The lead jobs (Deli CMS Lead, Bakery Lead and Center Store Lead) help the department manager. Duties include monitoring labor schedules, keeping inventory and shrink in check, and running the department when the manager is out. They require at least one year of “progressive management experience” in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels or general business, plus basic skill with point-of-sale systems, scheduling tools and Microsoft Office. An associate degree is preferred. Several specialist postings, including the Roswell Road deli and produce jobs, list that same management-experience requirement.

Two of the titles show where grocery store work is heading. The Alpharetta In Stock Specialist checks that electronic shelf tags and Captana systems work, and the posting calls the role the “point person for AI-powered cameras for in-stock tracking.” The worker also owns price accuracy across departments. The Digital Fulfillment Specialist postings in Dunwoody and Peachtree City cover the daily handling of online orders. That means working with third-party partners, picking orders on time, and staging, packaging and checking orders before customer pickup or delivery.

The Guest Service Specialist on Peachtree Road runs the checkout area. The job covers directing cashiers, handling the cash office, keys and safe, and supporting digital orders.

Benefits listed, pay not shown

The postings list a team member discount of up to 40% (30% on the Suwanee grocery posting), 401(k) contributions with a company match, and medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. They also offer early wage access of up to 50% of earned wages per pay period, capped at $500. Every posting asks applicants to be available for a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings and holidays. Applications go through the “Apply Now” button on each listing at jobs.thefreshmarket.com.

Job seekers who need pay information will have to ask during the hiring process, because no wage or salary range appears on any of the 16 metro postings.
