Global Payments Adds Atlanta Finance, Design and Genius POS Sales Postings With Pay Ranges up to $190,000

Employers

Atlanta-based Global Payments posted at least four new jobs listing Atlanta as a work location on Monday, Nov. 2, and Tuesday, Nov. 3: a field sales role for its Genius point-of-sale business, a director of product marketing for Genius, a UX designer and a financial planning and analysis manager. Three of the four postings state pay, ranging from a $50,000 base salary for the sales job to a $145,000 to $190,000 range for the director role, according to the company’s Workday careers site as checked at about 13:30 UTC on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

These are recruiting listings, not hires, and each covers a single requisition. Two of them also list locations outside Georgia, so the work is not necessarily based in Atlanta.

Genius field sales: $50,000 base, commission on top

The Field Sales Representative – Genius POS posting (R0077338), dated Nov. 2, lists Atlanta first among 16 locations, including Seattle, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Tampa and Detroit. The representative sells Genius, the company’s point-of-sale system, to business owners, runs the full sales cycle and is expected to spend up to 75% of the time in the field.

The posting sets base pay at $50,000 a year, plus monthly residual income “from the accounts you build,” and gives annual on-target earnings of “$90k-150 plus,” depending on skills, performance and territory. Applicants need at least one year of business-to-business or business-to-consumer outside sales experience, a valid driver’s license and a home within two hours of the territory. Two full years of B2B outside sales in fintech, merchant services or software, experience upselling merchants, and a restaurant or retail background are listed as bonuses.

Director of product marketing: $145,000 to $190,000

The Director of Product Marketing – Genius (Small Business & Retail) posting (R0072485), also dated Nov. 2, lists Atlanta, Denver, Charlotte and an Oklahoma City location. The director leads a team of product marketers and shapes go-to-market strategy, positioning and product launches for the Genius business. It asks for eight or more years in product marketing, experience launching products in a multinational company, and deep knowledge of retail and point-of-sale systems. The expected salary range is $145,000 to $190,000, and the posting sets an application deadline of Nov. 16.

UX designer: $85,000 to $95,000

The UX Designer posting (R0076627), dated Nov. 3, lists Atlanta and Lenexa, Kansas, and is tagged as hybrid. The designer runs user research, including usability testing, interviews, card sorting and focus groups, and turns it into wireframes, prototypes, journey maps and style guides that meet accessibility guidelines. Requirements are a bachelor’s degree in interaction design, human factors or a related field, or a combination of training and experience in its place, and typically at least four years of independent UX research and design work. Financial-industry UX experience is listed as a bonus. The posted annual salary range is $85,000 to $95,000.

FP&A manager: no pay listed

The FP&A Manager posting (R0075767), dated Nov. 3, is based in Atlanta. The manager leads the annual budget, long-range planning and forecasting, prepares monthly and quarterly management reporting with variance analysis, builds financial models and business cases, and supports executive and board materials. It requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field and seven or more years of progressive finance experience, with significant FP&A work and advanced Excel skills. The posting lists success measures for the first 12 months, including an effective budget and forecast cycle and better forecast accuracy. It does not state pay.

How to apply

All four roles are open through Global Payments’ Workday careers site, which runs under a TSYS web address. The sales, design and finance postings say candidates who receive a conditional offer for work in the United States will be required to take a drug test. Postings can close before any stated deadline once roles are filled.
