Northeast Atlanta staffing office posts $25 inventory and $20-$22 forklift jobs in Tucker; board lists 31 roles

Wages

The Atlanta Northeast office of Express Employment Professionals posted two warehouse openings in Tucker on Monday, Nov. 2: a temporary inventory role paying $25 an hour and sit-down forklift work paying $20 to $22 an hour. They top a board of 31 current listings, most of them hourly warehouse, production and facilities jobs in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties.

The figures come from the office’s own job board on expresspros.com, checked at about 15:00 UTC (10 a.m. ET) on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The board does not show how many people are needed for each role, and a listing is a recruiting notice, not a hire.

The two newest Tucker postings

The inventory role, titled “Inventory- Product Dimension Coordinator Temporary,” pays $25 an hour. According to the posting, the worker will audit inventory, record product dimensions, look into discrepancies or stock problems and enter data into a spreadsheet. NetSuite experience is preferred. Requirements include sit-down forklift experience, warehouse or inventory specialist experience, Excel skills, close attention to detail and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds. The hours are Monday through Friday, either 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The second listing, “Sit Down Forklift Operators / Warehouse Support,” is for an unnamed building supply company in Tucker and pays $20 to $22 an hour. The posting calls for at least two years on a sit-down forklift. The work is pulling orders from an order sheet and loading trucks, and it is done outdoors. Inventory experience is preferred, and shipping and receiving or ERP experience is a plus but not required. Workers must be able to lift 50 pounds and pass a background check and drug test. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The posting says the job could become temp-to-hire.

The board also has a “Spanish Speaking Warehouse Workers – 1st Shift” listing in Tucker dated Friday, Oct. 30. It is described as temp-to-hire, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with 50 to 55 hours a week and overtime as needed, and workers must be able to lift 60 pounds. No pay rate is shown. Also dated Oct. 30 is a $19-an-hour, temp-to-hire healthcare floor technician job with a Northeast Atlanta client.

What the full board shows

The 31 listings are spread over two pages. Their dates run from Oct. 1 to Nov. 2, and 13 are dated Oct. 28 or later. The dates are the ones shown on the board. At least one older listing carries a recent date, so a date may mean a listing was refreshed rather than newly opened.

Nine of the 31 listings are in Tucker. Besides the three described above, they include a $23-to-$25 bilingual Spanish/English shipping clerk, a $26-to-$27 logistics shipping team lead, a $23-to-$24 account manager, a $19-to-$21 chemical manufacturing production technician, and two first-shift jobs pairing stand-up forklift work with receiving or shipping at $18 an hour. The rest are in Atlanta, Stone Mountain, Doraville, Chamblee, Clarkston, Stonecrest, Peachtree Corners and Gwinnett County.

All but two listings show a pay rate. Of the 29 that do, 20 top out at $21 an hour or less, mostly between $17 and $19. Examples include healthcare housekeepers at $17, material handlers and a seasonal driver helper in Stone Mountain at $18, and floor technicians at $19. The lowest rate is $14 an hour, for a dishwasher at a senior living community in the Emory area. The highest is $50 an hour, for an ASE master technician at a car dealership in the Chamblee area.

What applicants should know

Many listings are described as temporary, contract or temp-to-hire. An HVAC technician role in Peachtree Corners is labeled direct hire, and a few others, such as the ASE master technician job, are described as full-time without a temporary label. Several postings want two or more years of experience in the specific trade, and many require drug and background screening. Applicants apply online through the office’s Express job board. The office is at 3301 Buckeye Road, Suite 303, in the 30341 ZIP code.

Client employers are not named on most listings, so the board says little about how many permanent jobs these roles will turn into. Pay and schedules can change, and the listings could be filled or taken down at any time.
