Highline Warren’s McDonough Logistics Center Adds 160 Planned Jobs to South Metro Atlanta

Atlanta Job Economy

Highline Warren plans a $170 million logistics and operations center in McDonough, with 160 new jobs expected as the multi-year Henry County project develops.

The investment adds another large logistics operation to metro Atlanta’s south side, where interstate access and proximity to the region’s distribution network continue to shape employer location decisions.

For the local job economy, the project is relevant to logistics, warehouse operations, maintenance, management and related supply-chain occupations. The 160 positions are a company and state projection tied to the buildout, not a count of jobs already filled.

The project also illustrates why Atlanta labor-market analysis needs to extend beyond the urban core: Henry County is part of the region’s employment system, and major distribution investments can alter commuting and recruiting patterns across county lines.
