Amazon has made another round of corporate job cuts. The company confirmed on Oct. 7 that it had eliminated what it described as a small number of roles, mostly within its Stores organization, the unit that runs its core e-commerce business.
Amazon said it plans to prepare up to 100,000 learners a year for skilled jobs by the end of 2028 through 25 modular training centers near its data centers, part of a $1 billion-plus, five-year Built Together commitment.
Synopsys and Amazon announced a multi-year agreement worth more than $1 billion, with Amazon as lead customer for Synopsys’s new application-optimized silicon IP business. The contract value is not a jobs figure.
